Yom Hashoah – Commemoration of the Holocaust

Congregation Beth Israel invites you to join us in a commemoration of Yom Hashoah on May 5th at 10:30 for breakfast and a special presentation by Annie Kleinhaus, Holocaust survivor, in person and via Zoom.

Anna Leiser-Kleinhaus was born in 1936 in Antwerp, Belgium.  She will describe her life while in hiding during the war, returning to Antwerp with her mother after the war, and reuniting with her father when he was liberated from a concentration camp. She studied in Switzerland, met her husband, and immigrated to the US, where she earned a doctorate in pharmacology, and had a productive career while raising three children.
